About Chris

Chris started out as a head chef in France. In 2012 he founded Ideal Homes Portugal and built it into an award-winning Algarve agency with 40+ staff and three offices, then added Ideal Homes International, First Class Currencies, Ideal Homes Mortgages, Ideal Homes Rentals, The Overseas Property Show, WHITEGOLD Capital and International Property Alerts.
He has lived in 14 countries, owns a personal portfolio of 150+ properties worth around €25 million, and has spoken on stages from the US and Mexico to Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong. He worked with Dragons’ Den’s Duncan Bannatyne on Apple Tree Lane, named Best Residential Development in Portugal, and wrote Ideal Homes Portugal: Your Guide to Buying and Living in the Algarve.
